Phd Michal Tomczak from the Gdansk University of Technology talks about the study titled “Model of organizational maturity in neurodiversity”, which won the grand prize at the EURAM 2023 conference in Dublin
04.04.2024

Concrete message, clear communication, adaptive strategy

One of the most extensive studies focused on the topic of employment of neurodivergent people began in 2022. The project is the first research undertaking of such a comprehensive nature.

The study combines managerial, legal, economic, psychological and sociological aspects. And its main goal is to explore the various challenges and opportunities related to inclusivity in the workplace.

And although the project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2024, PhD Michal Tomczak has already come up with some conclusions. And we are happy to share them with you.

Numbers that underscore the need for action

The preliminary results of the survey are based on data collected from more than a thousand Polish companies. This makes it one of the most comprehensive and representative of the Polish labor market.

Despite progress in the field of inclusion and growing awareness of the topic of neurodiversity, the numbers make it clear that there is still much work to be done.
Of the 1,026 companies surveyed, only 15 reached the highest, sixth level on the maturity scale.

This result demonstrates the significant challenges Polish companies still face in integrating neurodivergent people.

Knowledge that breaks down barriers

What are the benefits of hiring neurodivergent people?
How do foreign companies deal with this issue?
And what challenges do neurodivergent people face in the workplace?

These questions are just an introduction to a discussion with Dr. Michal Tomczak on the employment of neurodivergent people in Polish companies. The full interview provides a comprehensive look at the current state of Polish organizations and the challenges of integrating neuroatypical people into the workplace.

We warmly invite you to read it, which opens new horizons.
Both for business and for all of us – the entire community.
